Turf supply and installation in Droitwich Spa, where older town gardens and modern estate plots each need their own approach to preparation, levelling and aftercare.
Droitwich Spa has a long history built on its brine springs, and its housing shows it. Old streets near the centre sit alongside newer developments, and gardens can be very different in feel. Some are mature but worn, others are barely more than levelled spoil from a recent build.
That range means two lawns in the same town may need completely different treatment. We lay natural turf for households here and look carefully at the ground first. A free visit lets us see what is there, discuss what you want and explain the steps, from clearing through to the last rolled edge.
In established gardens, we often meet uneven surfaces, patches of compaction and old paving buried under the lawn. Clearing these properly makes all the difference. On newer plots, the issue is more often thin topsoil and building waste just below the surface. In both cases we loosen the ground, take out debris, add topsoil where depth is lacking and level carefully. Because some soils nearby can stay damp, we also check drainage and avoid shaping the ground so that water collects.
If your lawn has deteriorated beyond rescue, old lawn removal followed by new turf is the dependable route. We lift the worn sward, prepare the bed, and lay natural grass turf in staggered rows. For gardens that have just been through an extension or landscaping project, new lawn installation can finish the job neatly. Turf is trimmed to follow borders, patios and curves. We advise on picking a mix that suits whether the garden is mostly for show or for children and pets.
Water is the main task after laying. We explain how much is enough, how to check beneath the turf and when conditions mean you should adjust. Mowing starts once the lawn has rooted, and the first cuts should be high. Where lawns are already in place, repairs can include cutting out damaged areas and relaying them, or renovating thin grass with aeration and overseeding. We are happy to advise on which option is sensible, rather than push for a bigger job than you need.
We cover Droitwich Spa and the roads around it, and also work towards Bromsgrove, Pershore and Worcester. Town centre gardens may have restricted access, whereas modern estates usually have simple side gates, and it helps us to know which applies. We will visit, look at your garden and give you a free quotation, with straightforward advice about timing and what the lawn is likely to need.
We also take on lawn turfing work in nearby Bromsgrove, Pershore, Worcester.

Yes. We clear rubble, loosen compacted ground, add topsoil where needed, and level the surface before laying turf. This extra preparation is what stops a new lawn becoming patchy.
Water thoroughly, preferably early or late in the day, and check the edges where it dries first. Avoid heavy use. Soaking the roots is better than a quick sprinkle.
If patches are small and the rest is healthy, repair is sensible. If bare ground, moss and weeds cover much of the area, replacing the lawn after proper preparation usually gives a better result.
