Along the Fosse Way, Moreton-in-Marsh homes in Cotswold stone have gardens that can quickly become overgrown, and a thorough clear-out gives you a clean start for any new project.
Moreton-in-Marsh is a north Cotswold market town laid out along the Fosse Way, with stone houses lining the wide main street and gardens tucked behind. Many are long and walled, with outbuildings, old fruit trees and areas that have not been touched for a while.
A garden clearance here is mostly a matter of order. We cut back what has taken over, take out what is rotten or unwanted, and haul all the waste away so you can see the real layout of the plot again.
Long gardens behind stone houses often have a back section that has been forgotten. We find thick ivy on walls, hawthorn and elder seedlings, couch grass beds and bags of old rubbish tucked beside outbuildings. We deal with the overgrowth first, then lift the waste and finish by raking and sweeping. Where the stone walls are old, we avoid pulling ivy off in a way that damages the mortar, and let you know if it needs a different approach.
Once the junk has gone, the ground can be assessed. We take out roots and stones, so a new lawn, patio or fence line has a firm start. Cotswold soil is often shallow and stony over limestone, so we tell you where topsoil may be thin and what to consider before laying turf. Fencing along a stone wall or hedge line benefits from a cleared strip, which we can provide. Sharing your plans early helps us clear to the right standard.
Many properties have a side gate, a rear lane or a shared yard rather than a wide drive. We plan how to move waste from the back of the garden to the van and tell you if parking on the main street is likely to be an issue. All green waste, rubble, timber and rubbish is carried out and disposed of correctly. We take stone and brick separately from garden material, so each goes to a suitable place.
We cover Moreton-in-Marsh and its neighbours: Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Shipston-on-Stour and Bourton-on-the-Water. That helps with scheduling, as clearance jobs can be grouped sensibly across the area. In stone-built towns like this, gardens often sit close to walls, so we keep the work tidy and considerate. Contact us with a few details, and we will visit if the job needs it, then send a free quotation.
We also take on garden clearance work in nearby Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Shipston-on-Stour, Bourton-on-the-Water.

“Jim and Dan did a brilliant job on my 90ft conifer. Its a lot safer now and I have more light in the garden...”
“The boys did an excellent job... pruned my trees back and remove one tree that had split...”
“The guys were prompt & proffesional removed an old ash for me thanks guys”
We can cut it back and clear loose growth, but pulling established ivy hard off old stone can damage it. We usually cut it at the base and let it die back, and advise on the wall as needed.
Soil, stone and brick are kept apart from green waste and taken to suitable disposal sites. If you want some soil or stone kept for reuse in the garden, tell us in advance.
It depends on how busy we are and the size of the job. Get in touch with your details and we will say when we can visit and start, without promising dates we may not meet.
