Chipping Campden's conservation area
The historic centre of Chipping Campden is a conservation area, and the trees within it are part of what the designation exists to protect. If your tree stands in it, Cotswold District Council needs six weeks' written notice before work starts.
That is a notice rather than an application — there is nothing to approve and no decision to wait for beyond the six weeks. The council uses the period to decide whether to protect the tree with a Tree Preservation Order.
